MBC’ers, you are invited!

As many of you know, I’ve been volunteering with SurvivingBreastCancer.org in various capacities for several years. Recently, we formed the MBC Leadership Team, which I chair, to involve more of the ladies living with MBC in the content and offerings for the MBC Community. You can learn about all of the members of the Team on our webinar here.

One of our new initiatives is a quarterly workshop series, kicking off this month with a Legacy workshop on August 27, 2022 from 1-3ish pm eastern. Attendees will receive a box of supplies to utilize during the workshop, will hear about ideas from the MBC Leadership Team, will receive input on legal arrangements to be made from yours truly and will receive input into preparing a legacy video from Rob Lamp. You may recognize that name from an earlier blog post I’d published about making Legacy Videos and the discounts he is offering to the MBC Community. You can access that information here and here.

After the workshop, attendees will receive a handout outlining all of the resources we discuss during the workshop and links for the items that the MBC Leadership Team has found helpful. That handout is 18 pages and growing, so I think it will be helpful in a variety of way and I plan to update with the information shared during the workshop. I’m adding to it some of the lessons we’ve learned about funeral planning from the recent death of my father in law too. Being prepared for what we will all face is something we can do for our loved ones.

If you are living with MBC and want to learn more about what you might be able to leave behind from those of us who are invested in doing so, consider signing up here; but act fast, we can’t accommodate everyone and spaces are filling up!
