I don’t know the details of this survey like how the participants were found or the demographics, but I do know that the results are really frustrating. There are so many myths that have become so mainstream that it’s hard to address them. So many people think that those of us who have MBC are to blame.
I hope you have learned more this month from my posts and from my blog. These issues are important to me and important to so many. We need to address these misconceptions for the good of everyone and that effort will take all of us.
I truly appreciate everything you share. It’s so hard these days to discern the truth in what we read and so easy to be mislead. I also have this sense that what I am learning through your posts is for a purpose yet to be unveiled. Thank you! ❤️🙏❤️

Dear Abigai, I truly feel your frustration. It’s such an uphill fight to dispel the myths, inform & educate people about MBC! It’s as though there is a sound barrier between us & our audience. We can raise our voices & even shout, but the words fall on deaf ears.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head with your description. Screaming into the void is how I often feel. And then one person talks about how different they feel because of my efforts and it’s worth it. ❤️

All the statistics are depressing, but that bottom one hits home the hardest because it blames me. We have a long way to go to reach a lot of people.

I understand your frustration at the last survey result. There are probably as many misconceptions around lung cancer! Hopefully, during the course of this month you’ve reached at least some of the people who don’t understand MBC. I’ve learned lots I didn’t know.
