I wanted to share a post from a dear friend of mine who sells Colorstreet nail covers, Sheila. Check out the link and consider ordering these nail covers for yourself or someone you love. I placed mine and am really happy to support a company who is putting their money where their mouths are!!
Speechless. That’s the word that best describes my reaction when the Color Street Foundation unveiled earlier today the shades supporting breast cancer awareness. We normally just see pink shades and pink ribbons. This year while there is Pink Power, a beautiful pink glitter set, there is also METAstrong, a beautiful glitter set with the colors of the metastatic breast cancer ribbon: pink, green and teal.
Pink – signifies that the metastatic cancer originated in the breast
Green – represents the triumph of spring over winter, life over death, and symbolizes renewal, hope, and immortality
Teal – symbolizes healing and spirituality
Seeing the tri-color ribbon for someone like me, living with metastatic breast cancer, is proof that little by little we continue raising awareness about this dreaded disease. The only type of breast cancer that kills.
The Color Street Foundation will donate a total of $200,000 to 4 non-profit organizations. Each will receive $50,000: METAvivor Research and Support Inc., Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Breast Cancer Research Foundation and National Breast Cancer Foundation.
I can’t wait to get my sets to wear during breast cancer awareness month. You know which one I’ll be wearing the most 😉 If you would like to join me and wear either set throughout the month of October, don’t forget to get yours via the link below. They will be available Tuesday, at 11:30 am ET (while supplies last)
