The variety amongst breast cancer subtypes are myriad. Two people may even have the same subtype but at different concentrations and their cancer may behave very differently. Understanding your own subtype is extremely important. Each person is an expert of their own body and brings a huge part of the equation to the table.

There is a woman that works for me that has the same type of breast cancer as I do and it has metastasized to the same areas. I have to be cautious when she tells me how certain drugs failed her or how at her third year this happened not to project that onto myself. As I near my third year, I find myself getting scared. This was a great reminder that my body is its own. ❤️

Thanks for posting these information tidbits. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really understand what cancer is, other than at a basic level of cells going wrong and that may even be off.
