Living while dying is a hard thing. Learning to balance treatments and side effects and the struggle of being a forever patient with life can suck every bit of energy from our increasingly frail bodies. Our organs and bones and tissues can only withstand so much. And our doctors and the treatments take us close to death again and again in order to beat back the inexorable march of the cancer cells.
And that’s living with cancer.
It’s hard and its brutal and it’s beautiful and it’s excruciating and it’s magical and it’s overwhelming and it’s life-affirming, all at the same time.
This marathon is only possible with our support system cheering us on and walking with us and carrying us and slogging through the muck with us.
Thank you to those who are part of my support system, you know who you are.
Praying for you and your family as you slog through the muck, celebrate the highs, endure the lows. May God bless, strengthen, comfort, provide every moment of each day. 🙏❤️🙏❤️
