Thank you

Appreciate all of you who checked in on me in relation to my jaw surgery. It was supposed to have happened on Friday but was moved to yesterday, Monday. Had a kickass team and am resting comfortably with the right meds. I’m not 100% yet. My body is definitely responding differently to the trauma of surgery after four (4) years of MBC treatment. I am hopeful that this surgery will make a big difference in my pain and the profession of BIONJ in my jaw. Only time will tell — now on to a liquid diet for a few days and three (3) weeks of soft food!

  3. So glad all went well! So sorry I got distracted by my own nightmare yesterday and didn’t even see it on my calendar and ask, and even messaged you on your surgery day about my much less critical situation! 🤦🏽‍♀️ But I have been praying about it daily. You are always in my daily prayers, and this was specifically in them. ❤️

    1. Much appreciated!! It’s been a lot harder than I’d anticipated to recover from surgery and also detoxing from all the opioids that I’d been taking to manage my pain before surgery. Feel like I’ve finally turned a corner, though. Thanks for checking in!

  4. Hi Abigail,

At over a week out now, I hope you’re feeling lots better and enjoying some of your favorite soft foods. Hope the recovery and healing are going well and that there hasn’t been too much discomfort.

Thank you for sharing about this ordeal. xo

    1. Thank you for checking in! Both the recovery from surgery and coming off of all the opioids that I’ve been on for several months to manage the pain prior to surgery has been a lot harder on my body than I’d anticipated. It’s taken me longer to feel better than I’d hoped. At nearly 2 weeks out from the surgery, I am finally turning a corner. 🙂
