Orlando Metsquerade 2020

The inaugural Orlando Metsquerade was in February of 2019 and I wrote about my experiences attending this lovely event here. I put together a collage of some of my favorite pictures from that time where we spent time with some amazing friends below …

This year, as with most gatherings, the 2nd Orlando Metsquerade will be virtual and will be held on November 28, 2020. You can check out the Facebook page for the Metsquerade here, where information will be shared as it is known. All tickets are free to attend in order to have the chance to bid on amazing items and participate in the program, which will be amazing! Tickets can be obtained here.

As with most non-profits, Metavivor has struggled to raise the same funds as they have in the past since the large gatherings in person can’t occur. Each of the Metsquerades across the country have pivoted to virtual events and we are focused on raising more money than last year! One of the ways we do that is to have as many sponsors as possible.

      1. Everyone is scrambling. What a weird year. A friend from France who says they are on lockdown until December. The get fined if they go out of the house without paperwork. If they go out three times they go to jail which seems counterproductive.

      1. That is so true. It all hinges on an effective vaccine. I’m sure you have many more issues with being careful with COVID than most. Have you been out at all since all this started in March?

      3. I feel the same way without being immunocompromised. I have not taken a regular flu shot, nor the shingles shot. I never had chicken pox, so I think I’m okay on the shingles. Too many people I know get the flu after having flu shots. I know that is not research-based, but my emotions guide my decision-making more than I care to admit. 🙂 Glad you are safe. Living in the country, our life is relatively quiet anyway. We have a lot of workers since we are moving, but we have been very safe so far.
